Community Programs, Special Events and Workshops

We have registered and drop-in programs for all ages, abilities and interests. For a complete listing of program offerings, dates, time and fees, check out our Community Guide, Community Connection Newsletter or community calendar.

If you have a program idea, an instructor, or are interested in volunteering to assist in offering a variety of programs in our community - we would like to hear from you!  Email the programs department to connect!

Cooking Class: FREE

Ages 12-14: Enjoy learning about food preparation, cooking/baking and a chance to enjoy the final product as a meal!

This program is for participants 16yrs+ or accompanied by parent/guardian.

Unique games are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own games.

Gr. 7 & 8 Girls Fitness & Empowerment: This program will allow young girls to explore different avenues of physical fitness and well being!

By participating in this program; they will experience healthy living tips, goal setting, physical activity, support and learn that you can be “feminine” and still be physically active.

This program does not currently have a date scheduled. Please watch social media for future date. 

Thanks to all participants for a great program!  We look forward to the Fall 2024 return!

About the Program:

Lego Days that comprises of several building activities including:

  • Free building challenges
  • Set building
  • Lego Robotics (WeDo2.0)

There will be over 500 pounds of bricks on hand as well as over 200 Lego sets.

The main instructor; Jazz is a school teacher based in North Bay. Jazz has been running these camps all over Ontario for the past seven years.!

Teddy Bear Play Day - Sat. June 15, 2024, Memorial Park

North Perth's Annual Teddy Bear Play Day is back again on June 15, 2024 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Listowel Memorial Park (455 Royal St. Listowel) There will be a wide range of interactive play zones for all to enjoy. This is a free family event.

Features of the event: Rock Climbing Inflatables Train Rides Art Zone Swimming Mini Putt Building Zone Garden Zone.

Wondering what you need?

  • Stuffed animal for a check up at our bear wellness clinic.
  • Towel and swimsuit to enjoy at the Splash Pad or Sponsored Swim at the pool (visit the pool for confirmed swim times)
  • The Salvation Army will be onsite collecting Food Donations *optional
  • Families can get hotdogs and drinks at the pavilion *by donation, or are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or snack to enjoy in the park.
  • Don't forget to wear sunscreen, a hat and bring a water bottle.
