North Perth approves first Façade Improvement Program project!

The Municipality of North Perth launched its Façade Improvement Program in June 2021 to support local business in the downtowns of Listowel, Atwood, and Monkton. The program is offers financial grants to local businesses who wish to renovate and improve their storefront. This grant will help with the cost of renovations and help promote our vibrant and successful downtown communities.

The Municipality is excited to announce that Listowel Chiropractic has recently installed a beautiful new sign on its storefront as a result of the Façade Improvement Program. Dr. Brent Milljour of Listowel Chiropractic said, “When we heard about the opportunity to improve the facade of our business, we were more than excited to apply for the North Perth Facade Improvement Program. The grant program really eased the financial burden that several small businesses are faced with when it comes to improving their business facade. We have always wanted a new sign, and with the help of the North Perth Facade Improvement Program it was made possible. I would strongly encourage all small business owners in the North Perth area to explore the Facade Improvement Program. The application was very easy and staff at the municipality were very helpful and made the whole process seamless and streamline.” The project was completed by a company based in North Perth, Sign Depot.

Funds are still available for businesses operating in the downtowns of Listowel, Atwood, and Monkton. Eligible projects include installing new signage, updating windows and doors, redesigning the storefront, and others.
