Local Community Safety and Well-being Website is Live!

Earlier this year, the municipalities of Stratford, St. Marys, North Perth, West Perth, Perth East, and Perth South unveiled a joint Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plan which provides a roadmap for coordinating local safety and well-being planning. Recognizing that complex social issues cannot be addressed by one sector or organization alone, the implementation of the Plan is guided by a Partnership Council with members from the six municipalities. The Partnership Council will also include representatives from a broad range of sectors (e.g. police, social services, health, mental health, and addictions services, education, children and youth services, etc.).

A website has been developed to share information about the CSWB Plan and its implementation activities. By visiting the site, people can learn about; how the Plan was developed, key local safety and well-being priorities, and ongoing implementation activities. The CSWB Plan and the CSWB Implementation Plan are also available for download.

“We are excited to have a centralized place for all matters related to community safety and well-being,” says Kim McElroy, co-chair of the CSWB Partnership Council. “We encourage residents to visit the site for information about what we are trying to accomplish.”

To visit the website, go to www.cswb-stratfordperthstmarys.com. Website visitors can join a mailing list to stay updated on current activities.
