Speak Before Council

If you would like to speak at a public Council Meeting, you must register as a delegation to request a place on an upcoming agenda.

The number of delegations permitted at a Council Meeting is limited by our Procedural By-law. As a delegation, you are permitted to address Council for a maximum of 10 minutes.

There is no limit to the number of pieces of written correspondence on a Council Agenda.

For information about speaking to Council, or to register as a delegation, please contact the Clerk before 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before the meeting. You can complete an online delegation request form and provide a written outline identifying the subject matter and the general nature of the request to be registered for an upcoming meeting.
