Tax Sales

A tax sale occurs when the Municipality of North Perth sells a property for unpaid taxes. A property is eligible for tax sale if the property has more than two years of unpaid taxes. The property owner will be notified if their property is eligible for tax sale.

Provincial legislation allows Municipalities to recover unpaid property taxes through sale of the property. Tax sales are done in accordance with the Ontario Municipal Act.
