The area is also rich with heritage buildings, including Listowel's Carnegie library, one of 2,500 built with money donated by Scottish-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

For those into recreation, North Perth also home to 22 km of trails, three arenas, two swimming pools, tennis courts, a skateboard park, playgrounds, soccer and baseball facilities and a golf course.
